This cheese has great flavor and is made using natural ingredients: a mixture of cow's milk and sheep's milk, enriched with truffles cut into thin strips. It is produced using black summer truffles of the highest quality which guarantee a unique and distinctive aroma.
This cheese needs only to be aged between 15 and 20 days before its ready to be marketed. Although it is infused with a fungus that has a very distinctive robust aroma and flavour, the cheese has a rather light delicious taste.
Our cheese with truffles comes in the form of a wheel with a relatively large rounded heel; the straw-white colored thin crust is sprinkled with truffle shavings. Its very creamy and crumbly rind gives it a special opening typical of all caciotta cheeses and its unique flavor is provided by the truffle shavings.
Serve the cheese at room temperature. It is advisable to take it out of the refrigerator at least one hour before consumption.
Cheese with truffles can be used to accompany truffle-based menus, use it to make delicious cold canapés, or melt it to make hot canapés, or in homemade bread. You can also use it as a condiment in baked pasta dishes....
